Members of the Teachers’ Syndicate Council and a number of teachers who were arrested have all been released on bail, announced Judge Muhammad Tarawneh on Sunday.

The legal advisor for the Teachers’ Syndicate, Bassam Fraihat, told Roya all detainees including the vice president, Nasser Nawasir, have been released.

An insider source told Roya a number of requests have been submitted calling for their release, which were approved for all those who are not wanted for other cases on Sunday.

The decision was made in time for the first day of the academic year for public school teachers.

Amman’s Attorney General, Hassan Al-Abdallat, had decided to shut down the teachers’ union for two years, on the July 25.
