Four deaths, 457 new COVID-19 cases in Palestine

A further 457 coronavirus cases and four deaths have been recorded over the past 24 hours in Palestine, announced the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai al-Kaila, on Friday.

Two deaths were reported in Jerusalem, one in Nablus and one in Hebron.

The new coronavirus cases were recorded across nine governorates: 140 in Hebron, 10 in Nablus, 17 in Tulkarem, 64 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 21 in Bethlehem, 11 in Qalqilya, 42 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, one in Salfit and 151 in Jerusalem.

A total of 540 patients have recovered including 346 in Hebron, 120 in Jerusalem, 38 in Nablus, 28 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, three in Salfit, three in Qalqilya, one in Jenin and one in Toubas.

Currently, 25 cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and six are on ventilators.

The recovery rate stands at 62.6%, while the active cases rate is 36.8%, and the death rate is 0.6%, al-Kailah added.
