The temporary teachers’ union committee has announced it will pay the salaries of union employees.

During a meeting on Wednesday, the committee also decided to postpone subscription payments for affiliated teachers, who wish to take leave without pay, until the end of their contracts.

The committee has also addressed certain banks to facilitate easier loans for teachers.

Two new committees were formed including a financial committee to review contracts, agreements and bank statements and a supplies committee for inventory purposes.

Chairman of the Committee, Nawaf Al-Ajarmah, said these decisions reflect the committee’s willingness to improve all services provided by the union and support members, which includes protecting their financial rights.

The temporary committee was established to conduct the administrative and financial work of the Jordan Teachers' Syndicate following its suspension.
