The Israeli occupation is working to allow direct flights between Tel Aviv and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, on Monday.
During a tour of the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu examined the security and health arrangements in preparation for the upcoming airport reopening. “It is of course a preliminary experiment and its success is linked to the rates of coronavirus cases," he said.
The three-hour flight will fly through Saudi Arabian airspace to and from Tel Aviv and the UAE — both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Netanyahu said this step would transform aviation, economy, tourism and investment activities in both countries.
