Approximately 1,350 samples were taken over the past few hours from people who came in contact with positive coronavirus cases in Irbid and Ramtha, said the Irbid Health Director, Riyadh Al-Shayab, on Monday.

Ten COVID-19 investigation teams have been distributed across both cities to obtain samples from first, second and third-degree contacts.

Thousands of samples have been taken since the local cases were recorded in both cities, including employees of the Jaber border crossing, who are currently staying in quarantine hotels in Irbid.
