Tight security plans have been issued to coincide with the announcement of Tawjihi results on Saturday, said the director of the Public Security Directorate, Major General Hussein al-Hawatmeh.

Celebrations in large numbers are prohibited to preserve the safety of all citizens in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Traffic police will intensify patrols through the streets of all governorates to prevent the dangerous traffic violations associated with unsafe celebratory behaviours.

All those who shoot bullets into the air will be arrested and weapons will be seized.

Major General al-Hawatmeh said the main purpose of these procedures is to protect life and property, as well as to maintain security.

He said dangerous violations prevalent in this joyful event such as firing bullets, hanging out of vehicle windows, reckless driving and other dangerous behaviours will not be tolerated.

Finally, he wished all high school students success, requesting from them to celebrate in a civilized manner that does not threaten their lives or the lives of others.
