Jordan will not return to a lockdown in the coming days, said Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh.

He was responding to a Jordanian woman who asked him whether there is a possibility Jordan will return to a lockdown anytime soon.

The woman said: "Your Excellency please tell me if there will be a lockdown on Friday, August 21, because it will be my wedding day.”

Adaileh responded: "Congratulations, there is no lockdown."

On Wednesday, the government announced new measures to fight COVID-19 in Jordan, as the country has been recording new local cases.
