One house in Mafraq and three houses in Ramtha have been isolated after new cases of coronavirus were recorded, announced the government on Wednesday.

The governor of Mafraq, Yasser Al-Adwan, said the decision to isolate the house in Mafraq came after an employee at the Jaber Border Crossing tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Samples were taken from people who came in contact with the person who was diagnosed with the virus.

Sterilisation teams disinfected the mosque that he regularly prays at.

As for the three houses in Ramtha, the decision came after six new cases were recorded involving workers at the Jaber Border Crossing customs department.

The director of Ramtha District Health, Ikhlas Al-Saad, said nearly 200 samples were taken in relation to this case.
