Public sector employees must use the AMAN smartphone COVID-19 tracking application immediately, said Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, during a press conference on Tuesday.

The aim is to provide protection for them and their families, and to alert them in the event of them coming into contact with someone infected with COVID-19.

"I would like to invite private sector institutions and civil society to take the initiative to implement these measures to protect the health of their employees and their auditors,” said Adaileh.

He added the country’s developing COVID-19 situation could lead to an increased curfew.
