The new local coronavirus cases that have been recorded in the last four days are not considered to be a second wave, the spokesman for National Committee for Epidemics, Nathir Obaidat, said on Tuesday.

The COVID-19 situation in the country is under control and is not something to be concerned about, said Obaidat.

Most coronavirus cases recorded in Jordan were in contact with infected people and the source is known, he added.

The coming days may witness a similar or fewer number of COVID-19 cases, if Jordanians adhere to precautionary measures, he added.

The COVID-19 investigation teams are able to deal with the new situation, Obaidat said.
