Six new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Jordan on Sunday, including five local cases, bringing the total number since the beginning of the crisis to 1,252.

The local cases include three cases who were in contact with an infected person in Irbid and two cases who were in contact with a man who tested positive for COVID-19 in Mafraq.

One case involves a person from abroad who is currently staying in hotel quarantine and has travelled from Algeria.

Nine recovery cases were confirmed today, all of whom were discharged from quarantine in the Dead Sea region.

A total of 5,925 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number conducted so far to 646,473.
