Jordan confirms nine new COVID-19 cases

Nine new coronavirus cases were recorded in Jordan on Saturday, including four local cases, bringing the total number since the beginning of the crisis to 1,246.

The local cases include; two cases who were in contact with an infected person in Irbid, a 60-year-old woman in Irbid and a man in Mafraq who works at the Jaber Border Crossing.

Two cases involve people from abroad who are currently staying in hotel quarantine — one travelled from Saudi Arabia and one from UAE.

The three other cases involve Jordanian truck drivers who have entered from Saudi Arabia via Al-Omari border crossing.

No recovery cases were recorded today.

A total of 5,827 COVID-19 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests conducted since the beginning of the crisis to 640,548.
