All medical staff who came into direct contact with the midwife who tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, will be tested and quarantined, Irbid’s Health Director, Riyad al-Sheyyab, told Roya.

The Badea Training Hospital in Irbid will continue to operate and is ready to receive patients 24 hours a day, due to the fact the midwife’s work did not require direct contact with the patients, al-Sheyyab added.

A lawyer, his sister - the midwife - and her 11-year-old daughter tested positive for COVID-19 in Irbid, on Friday.
