The curfew in Jordan will be reduced to start at 2am, the government announced Thursday.

Working hours for all economic activities will also be extended until 1am, and the decision will be implemented immediately.

Tariq Hammouri, the Minister of Industry and Trade, said the decision was made based on the recommendations from the Work, Production and Supply Chain Committee and in coordination with the private sector.

He also added that any governmental decision or procedure will be reviewed for the sake of the public after being examined and studied by all responsible parties.
