Palestine recorded 738 new COVID-19 recovery cases – a new high for territory, the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai AlKailah, announced on Tuesday.

The recovery rate increased to 48%, following yesterday’s rate of 44.9%, Alkailah added.

However, Jerusalem is still recording a high number of new COVID-19 cases - today it confirmed 375 new cases, she added.

A total of 229 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the rest of Jerusalem’s governorates and suburbs, after 3,294 tests were conducted.

The cases in the rest of the governorates were: 76 in Hebron, 13 in Nablus, 15 in Jericho and al-Aghwar, 27 in Bethlehem, four in Qalqilya, 16 in Jenin, 35 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, one in Tulkarm, 42 in Jerusalem suburbs.

The recovery cases recorded included: 18 in Nablus, 91 in Bethlehem, 243 in Hebron, 150 in Jerusalem suburbs, 236 in Jerusalem city.

Currently, eleven cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and two are on ventilators, Alkailah added.

People should adhere to wearing face masks and social distancing, she added.
