Curfew hours have been reextended to start at 1am instead of 2am again, following the Islamic holiday, Eid Al-Adha.

The Jordanian government announced on Tuesday working hours for businesses must end at 12am and citizens are not allowed to leave their houses after 1am.

The government had decided to reduce the curfew by one hour during the Eid holiday, aiming to revitalise the commercial sector and enable citizens to purchase what they needed for Eid.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tariq Al-Hammouri, said the decision was made based on recommendations from the Work, Production and Supply Chain Committee and in coordination with the private sector.
