Palestine confirms 244 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 244 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Palesntine on Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced.

The ministry reported 44.9% patients have recovered from the virus, while the active cases are 54.6%, and only 0.5% deaths.

In the last 24 hours, 27 new cases were recorded in Jerusalem; 131 in Hebron, 14 in Nablus, 14 Jericho and al-Aghwar, one in Bethlehem, two in Qalqilya, 10 in Jenin, 42 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, one in Tulkarem, one in Salfit and one in Tubas.

Palestine has recorded 527 recovery cases; 225 in Hebron, 220 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, six in Jenin and 76 in Qalqilya.

Currently, nine cases are in the Intensive Care Unit and two are on ventilators, the ministry added.
