Lebanon reimplements lockdown and bans weddings

The Lebanese government has implemented a five-day lockdown as a result of the huge rise in coronavirus cases in the country.

The country confirmed 175 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, bringing the total number to 4,730 since the start of the crisis.

The Ministry of Interior in Lebanon warned weddings and any other large gatherings are strictly prohibited during the lockdown.

On Friday, Lebanon witnessed the highest number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in one day, in which it recorded 224 cases and two deaths in 24 hours.
