Muslims headed to animal slaughterhouses to buy Udhiya, which translates to sacrifice, and donate meat to the poor on the first day of the Islamic holiday, Eid Al-Adha, on Friday morning.

This comes after they performed the Eid prayer in mosques and surrounding outside squares.

Worshippers were asked to adhere to health and safety procedures, including social distancing, and to bring their own prayer mat to mosques.
