Jordan confirms 5 new COVID-19 cases, all from abroad

Five new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Jordan on Wednesday, all from abroad, bringing the total number to 1,187 since the start of the crisis.

Four cases involve people currently staying in hotel quarantine; all of whom have travelled from Saudi Arabia.

One case involves a Jordanian truck driver who has entered from Saudi Arabia via Al-Omari border crossing.

Seven recovered COVID-19 patients were discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Health reiterated the need to adhere to preventive measures, avoid gatherings for more than 20 people, wear facemasks, social distance, and use Aman and Sehtak mobile applications.
