Jordan confirms 6 new COVID-19 cases, all from abroad

Six new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Jordan on Tuesday, all from abroad, bringing the total number to 1,182 since the start of the crisis.

All cases are people currently staying in hotel quarantine; four have travelled from Saudi Arabia, one from Iraq and one from the UK.

One recovered COVID-19 patient was discharged from Prince Hamzah Hospital on Tueday.

A total of 6,364 random tests were conducted today, bringing the total number conducted so far to 577,754.

The Ministry of Health reiterated the need to adhere to preventive measures, avoid gatherings for more than 20 people, wear facemasks, social distance, and use Aman and Sehtak mobile applications.
