Two people have died and 11 others were injured in a house fire in the north west of Amman, on Saturday.

At least one of the deceased is a child. 

The victims were evacuated to the nearest hospital. Two of the injured people are in a serious condition.

Firefighters extinguished the fire in the house located in Safout, said the spokesman of the Public Security Directorate.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
