The government has released the list of countries it will allow to travel to and from Jordan.

The countries classified as ‘green countries’ include Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Hong Kong and Thailand, announced Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, on Thursday.

These countries meet the criteria determined by the Jordanian government regarding their COVID-19 status.

Travellers from these destinations will not need to enter quarantine so long as they have undergone a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to arrival.

The list of countries might expand as Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) reopens, said Adayleh.

He expects the airport to reopen and international commercial flights to resume in the first or second week of August.

The government is currently working to establish traveller tracking, coronavirus testing and accommodation.
