The lawyer of the Egyptian actress, Abeer Baybars, who had admitted to killing her husband, delivered a new revelation in the case on Sunday.

Lawyer Ahmed Hamza Al-Bahqiri said the husband died as a result of a heart attack according to doctors, adding that a forensic report had been requested to prove the actress’s innocence, according to Al-Arabiya.

On the day of the incident, a quarrel broke out between the couple, and the husband began beating his wife, said Al-Bahqiri. During the argument, the husband’s office windows were smashed and he fell on to the shards of glass.

He asked for his wife's help, who called an ambulance and accompanied him to the hospital. This was confirmed by the actress and supported by the testimony of the domestic worker, he said.

According to Al-Bahqiri, the husband repeatedly assaulted, beat and insulted Baybars. The 35-year-old actress married Amr Sayyed, owner of a contracting company, eight months ago, but disputes began to arise between them after a short period of time, he said.

Earlier last week, Egypt’s Public Prosecution imprisoned Baybars, pending an investigation.

Baybars is an Egyptian actress who began her journey in 2014 through her participation in the comedy series Elsa's and Falsi’.

She also participated in a comedy series called Shellet Nassabeen, and had her first cinematic experience through her involvement with the movie Mashrou' Mayyet (Dead Project).
