A governmental employee has been caught receiving a JD 5,000 bribe.

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing employee took the cash from a contractor in exchange for erasing all complaints filed against him by the Jordan Green Building Council, an official source told Roya.

The accused admitted to receiving the bribe after being arrested. He has been placed in the Juwaidah Correction and Rehabilitation Centre for 15 days while an investigation takes place.
