Jordan has recorded five new coronavirus cases today, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,047, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber stated.

During a press conference at the Prime Ministry building, the Minister said all the cases are Jordanians who have recently returned from abroad, including three from Saudi Arabia, one from Egypt and one from Qatar.

A total of 21 recovery cases were recorded today at Prince Hamzah Hospital, Jaber mentioned, adding that 5,128 random tests were conducted today.

"We will order the seasonal flu vaccine, which helps the body's immune system from h1n1, which has become endemic and returns every year. The vaccine stimulates the immune system," the Minister said.

He noted that "if no cases are recorded in 10 days, we will ease the curfew restrictions after 12 am."
