Education Ministry plans to reopen schools two weeks earlier than scheduled

Jordan's Ministry of Education is planning to start the next school year two weeks earlier than scheduled, the Minister of Education, Tayseer Al-Nuaimi, stated today.

This consideration comes to fill the gap and implement the remedial program related to fixing students' basic skills, Al-Nuaimi said during a radio interview.

He pointed out that the Ministry analyzed the academic subjects and focused on the major concepts and basic skills, where briefs will be printed for distribution to male and female teachers in order to teach students during the first two weeks.

The Ministry is also finalizing preparation for holding the Tawjihi examination, in terms of educational and health arrangements and conditions, health protocols, equipping the halls, and ensuring that the supervisors and heads of halls are ready and fully prepared.
