The concerned authorities isolated the house of a person who has recently tested positive for coronavirus in the Zebdet Farkooh area in Irbid governorate on Wednesday evening, June 17.

The infected works at the Department of Municipal Engineering in Ramtha district, a source said.

A joint force of police and gendarmerie implemented the isolation measures in the presence of the Director of Health Affairs in Irbid, Dr. Qasem Mayas, the National Committee for Epidemics and members of the Committee, according to the Head of the Executive Committee of the Coronavirus Crisis Cell Administration in the city and Irbid Governor Radwan Al-Atoum.

The epidemiological inspection teams immediately began their work by collecting samples from people who were in contact with the infected in the governorate, Atoum added.

A responsible medical source suggested that the infected contracted the virus from an employee who works at the Ramtha Lands Department, who lives in the town of Huwara, Irbid, and was announced infected two days ago.
