Around 30 Jordanians, who have been stranded in Japan and Philippines in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, are expected to arrive on Sunday aboard a Qatari airlines plane.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and the COVID-19 Crisis Management Cell have been coordinating with the Jordanian embassies abroad to expedite the required and complex logistical procedures to ensure the return of all Jordanians stranded abroad under strict health safety conditions, according to Jordan's Ambassador to Japan Lina Annab, who spoke to Petra's Tokyo correspondent.

The ambassador commended the cadres that contributed to facilitating this process, especially the Japanese foreign ministry and airports authority, and Qatar Airways.
