Second phase of repatriating Jordanians stranded abroad starts tomorrow

The second phase of repatriating Jordanian students and those stranded abroad will start tomorrow, May 15.

According to the Director of the coronavirus Crisis Cell, Brig. Gen. Mazen Farrayah, flights will be as follows:

1- May 15 flights (Cairo, Jeddah, Dubai, Cairo, London)

2- May 16 flights (Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, Paris, Chicago)

3- May 17 flights (Riyadh, Dubai, Larnaca, Almaty/Kazakhstan, Chicago)

He stressed that everyone who submitted an application on Safelyhome.gov.jo  platform will be able to book a seat within the number of seats available on flights and whoever was unable to reserve will be able to try on the upcoming flights.

Booking a quarantine room in 3-star hotels will cost JD30, 4-star hotels will cost JD40 and 5-star hotels will cost JD50, all in Amman.

Farrayah said that Jordanians abroad, in countries unmentioned in this phase, will be allowed to book flights provided they cover the cost of transport to the airports, in which flight will take off, adding that Safelyhome.gov.jo will soon be available to take applications for those who had failed to register.
