Several shots were fired, by mistake, from a security officer's weapon while he was on duty within the vicinity of the US Embassy in Amman on Sunday evening, May 3.

The shots hit an external concrete wall and caused no injuries, the PSD spokesman said in a press statement.

He added that an investigation into the incident was launched.
