First group of Palestinians stranded in Jordan arrives in Jericho

The first group of Palestinian citizens stranded in Jordan due to the coronavirus crisis has arrived this morning in Jericho through the King Hussein crossing.

Col. Mustafa Dawabsheh, director of the Karama Border Crossing police, said the crews of the Palestinian Ministry of Health embarked on conducting the necessary coronavirus tests to the passengers before they can return home for a 14-day precautionary quarantine.

He said 2, 000 other stranded Palestinian passengers are scheduled to return back to Palestine in groups during the following days.
