Nine people were arrested for gathering and dancing on a public street in Zarqa governorate during the comprehensive curfew imposed in the Kingdom, the media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said on Friday, May 1. 

A video that was circulated on social media platforms, showed a group of people gathering and dancing on a public street during the curfew hours, the spokesman explained.

Following an investigation, the video was found to have been recorded in a street in Zarqa governorate, after which the violators were identified and nine of them were arrested. 

The spokesman confirmed that the necessary legal action will be taken against the violators and a police campaign is underway to arrest the rest of them.
