No new coronavirus cases reported in Palestine in the last 24 hours

No new coronavirus cases were reported in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, the Palestinian Health Minister, Mai Alkailah announced today.

During the daily briefing on the corona pandemic, Akaileh said that more than 11,500 Palestinians remain until now in quarantine.

She added that all the patients at the corona centers in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are in good health and no one is currently in ICU.

Alkailah said there are 461 cases in Palestine, including 132 in occupied East Jerusalem and that 390 remain under treatment with the recovery of 69 in the West Bank and Gaza and death of two patients in the West Bank. Two Palestinian patients have also died in East Jerusalem.

Of the active cases, 255 are in Jerusalem, including 132 in the annexed part of the city and 123 in the villages and towns outside the Israeli declared cities.

In addition, 54 are in the Ramallah district, 30 in Bethlehem area, 34 in Hebron district, 5 each in Nablus and Tulkarm, 3 in Jenin, 1 in Jericho and 6 in the Gaza Strip.

She said 75% of the cases are workers in Israel and people who interacted with them and were infected, and 65% are males and 35% are females.

A total of 25,000 corona tests were conducted so far, said Alkailah, adding that the Health Ministry is now in a position to do 4000 tests a day.
