Industry Minister: All economic sectors will operate if COVID-19 cases decline

All economic sectors will operate if COVID-19 cases decline, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Tareq Hammouri said today.

"Goods will be exported after Jordan's needs are covered," Hammouri confirmed during a press briefing at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

He added that the government will maintain stimulating national exports after assessing the current situation.

"The rest of the industrial sectors will be allowed to work in their factories at a rate of 40% divided into two periods, after obtaining an e-permit," he stated.

Hammouri pointed out that the sale of small bread will resume at the price set before the curfew was imposed and there will be abundant quantities to meet all people's needs.
