Engineer Ramzi Foudeh, Head of the Jordanian Society of Genetic Engineers, has said today that the coronavirus test kit recently developed by Jordanian doctors will help to shorten the test duration from 4 hours to 15 minutes.

In a phone call with Roya, Foudeh added that the test kit proved successful after it was used to test 10 COVID-19 samples.

He pointed out that a team of seven people was behind developing this kit.

The Jordanian Society of Genetic Engineers had earlier unveiled the success of the first, at the regional level, coronavirus test kit developed by Jordanian experts.

The kit "jo cov19" has been tested on Tuesday, April 7, at the central laboratories of the Ministry of Health.
