The epidemiological investigation teams operating in Ma'an governorate, southwest of Amman, collected about 150 random samples during the past two days, to ensure the governorate is free of COVID-19, director of Ma'an Public Hospital, Walid Al-Rowad, said on Wednesday, April 8.

He added that samples were taken from health workers and patients at the Hospital, vegetable sellers, food traders, poultry sellers, butchers and a number of community members, as well as security and civil defence personnel deployed at different sites in the governorate.

"The hospital is awaiting the official release of the results," Al-Rowad added.
