The Ministry called on shoppers not to touch the goods except what they want to buy, especially vegetables and fruits and to shop in the shortest possible time.

In addition, shoppers are urged to practice social distancing by leaving a space of at least one meter between each other.

People are advised to wear face masks and gloves while shopping, get rid of them immediately after shopping, sterilize their hands after touching the banknotes, resort to home-delivery service as much as possible and commit to ways to deal safely with this service.

The Ministry also announced a package of measures for shop owners, as they must monitor the health status of their workers and check whether they show symptoms, which include fever and severe coughing and sneezing.
