Around 188 countries and territories reported on Sunday 209,970 active coronavirus cases with 10,154 in serious or critical condition; bringing the total cases since COVID-19 spread to 319,675 cases, of whom 96,006 have recovered and 13,699 have died.

Spain suffered the heaviest toll of new deaths overnight at 375 to bring the total mortal casualties of COVID-19 to 3,107; followed by Iran at 129 new deaths to a total of 1,685 since the start of the outbreak.

With no new deaths in Italy overnight, it still has the highest number of casualties at 4,285 deaths, followed by China at 3,261.
