Parties and get-togethers are currently put on hold amid government strict measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country.

However, medical staff and employees in one of the Dead Sea hotels, used as a quarantine center, have celebrated the birthday of a three-year-old boy this morning.

They just gathered in the square of the hotel, sang him the birthday song and wished him a happy birthday.

A video circulated on social media platforms showing the celebration.

Nearly 5,000 people were quarantined in a number of hotels in the Dead Sea and Amman as a precautionary measure after they returned from countries with coronavirus cases.

Earlier yesterday, the Minister of State for Media Affairs, Amjad Adaileh, said that there are 4,382 people quarantined, explaining that 3,055 are quarantined in Amman hotels and 1,837 in the Dead Sea hotels.

However, spokesman for the national committee for epidemics Nathir Obaidat announced that there are no infections of the COVID-19 have been recorded among the people quarantined in the hotels.
