The Desert Highway that connects Amman and Aqaba is almost empty of vehicles and public transport buses amid the coronavirus outbreak.

However, commercial freight traffic is still operating, as trucks loaded with goods, gas and petroleum are still moving from and to the cities as usual.

Citizens have abided by the government decisions after the National Defence Law was activated in a step to fight coronavirus, as there were no cars or citizens seen moving between governorates or villages close to each other.
