Deputy Director of King Abdullah University Hospital in Irbid, Dr. Basel Obaidat said that the Hospital is awaiting the results of tests for two suspected coronavirus cases.

The results are expected to be shown in the coming hours, Obaidat said in a statement to Jordan News Agency (Petra).

He added that nine cases have been admitted to the Hospital since yesterday, as they were suspected of having the virus.

"Five people tested negative, while two of them tested positive for the virus and the Health Ministry made an official announcement of this," Obaidat said, adding that they were taken to Prince Hamzah Hospital this morning.

Obaidat stated that two floors in the Hospital were equipped to deal with any suspected cases.
