Jordanians and non-Jordanians coming from France, Germany and Spain are not allowed to enter the Kingdom unless they have a medical certificate proving that they don't have coronavirus.

According to an official document issued by the Minister of Interior, Salameh Hammad, the decision will be applied as of Saturday, March 14.

"Non-Jordanians arriving from these countries without having the certificate will not enter the Kingdom. However, the Health Ministry will take the necessary medical measures when it comes to Jordanians who arrive in Jordan without having the certificate," according to the document.

This decision aims at protecting public health and preventing the spread of the virus in Jordan.

The national committee for epidemics had earlier urged citizens to avoid traveling abroad unless necessary as the virus is widely spread worldwide.
