City-wide sterilization campaign in Mafraq

Medical staff from the Health Department in Mafraq governorate has begun a city-wide sterilization campaign to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Mafraq's Mayor Amer Al-Dughmi said in a press statement today that streets, markets and areas and places designated for waste containers have been sprayed as part of the Mafraq municipality’s precautionary efforts and preventive measures to protect the health and safety of citizens from with the virus.

"That the municipality distributed leaflets to raise awareness among citizens about the virus and how to prevent it. In addition, it published many educational tips and awareness messages on its official website," he added.

He mentioned that the municipality will be conducting the spray campaigns in the evening of each day and after all the shops are closed.

Sterilizers were also distributed to employees and auditors in the municipality's departments, Dughmi said, calling on citizens to adhere to the instructions issued by the competent authorities.
