The government has issued travel advice, calling on citizens not to travel except for the extreme necessity in light of the rapid spread of the new coronavirus in many countries.

In a press statement he made today, the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, said that the national committee for epidemics in Jordan urged the government to issue such advice, as a precaution in this regard.

So far, no new coronavirus cases have been reported in the Kingdom.

Spokesman for the committee, Nathir Obaidat, confirmed that the infected citizen is recovering. He added that the patient has undergone several medical examinations, which revealed that he still has the virus.
