During a meeting held today at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz affirmed that Jordanians should be reassured about preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus in Jordan.

"We have to prepare ourselves to face corona..and find alternatives to quarantine," Razzaz said.

He pointed out that all safety measures have been implemented across the border crossings in order to prevent anyone carrying the virus from entering the Kingdom.

The government will find suitable alternatives to the quarantine hospitals concerned with fighting the virus, Razzaz mentioned.

Razzaz directed the appointment of an official media spokesman to provide a daily briefing to Jordanians on the developments of the virus.
