Director of the Petra brigade, Mansour Al-Alawin, has declared today an official day off for all schools and public institutions in Petra due to snowfall and the unstable weather conditions.

On Saturday, February 8, the Ministry of Education announced that it's up to each Ministry Directorate in each governorate to decide whether schools would be out today or not.

The Kingdom is affected by a cold polar air mass following a second-degree weather depression, which is causing extremely cold weather conditions, cloudy skies and rainfall in most parts of the Kingdom.
