The Public Security Directorate (PSD) called on drivers to take extra care and caution when driving during severe weather conditions.

The PSD also urged people to stay away from low-lying areas and locations where flashfloods may form. It also called for the safe use of heating facilities and for turning them off while sleeping.

It called on the public to call the emergency number (911) when necessary.
