Public and civil society institutions in the Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan valued His Majesty King Abdullah II's position on the Palestinian cause and the U.S. peace deal.

"We are absolutely certain that the U.S. peace deal is doomed to failure, just like it previously failed, when His Majesty King Abdullah announced and resonated "no to an alternative homeland, no to resettlement, no to back down on Jerusalem," the institutions said in a statement issued by the Department of Palestinian Affairs on Wednesday, January 29.

"The U.S. peace deal comes in support of the Israeli conspiracy to establish an 'Israeli nation', and gives injustice a legal and historical legitimacy in order to liquidate the national rights of the Palestinian people," the statement added.

The institutions expressed appreciation to Jordan's solid stance, which carries enormous responsibilities towards the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem, despite the regional, international, economic and financial pressures imposed on it to pass the deal.
