A 25-year-old man has died this evening in a road accident in Aqaba governorate.

A source at the Central Traffic Department (CTD) explained that the accident occurred when the vehicle crashed into a light pole at a hairpin bend on the road.

The source added that the young man had serious injuries, which caused his immediate death.

Cadres of the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) took the body to the nearest hospital.

A traffic investigation committee has been formed to find out the causes of the accident.
